A young bengal tiger giving me 'the look' (before lunch) at Shenzhen safari park, China.

Primarily found in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and Tibet, the Bengal tiger is one of the largest and the most common tiger subspecies. They live in a variety of habitats, including grasslands, subtropical and tropical rainforest's, scrub forests, wet and dry deciduous forests and mangroves.

Upto 310cm long, weighing upto 240kgs, it is estimated that there are only 4,500 of these animals left, with around 3,000 of them living in India. This was one of two young tigers, a couple of years old, looking at us (licking their teeth!) as we walked past!

Martial Eagle. This guy has a wingspan of 2.9m and this makes it large enough to kill baby Impala, baboons and vervet monkeys.

London Zoo - Animal Adventure - Donkeys - Danger sign

More shots from Animal Adventure at London Zoo.

This is a hands on area for kids.

You can touch the animals, but you have to wash you hands afterwards (I was not going to touch any animal, so no need to wash hands here - got photos to take of the animals).

At London Zoo - this area is Animal Adventure. An area that was opened in 1994 thanks to a donation from the family of the late Ambika Paul of one million pounds.

The four year old Ambika died in 1968, but loved going to the Zoo during her short life.

In Animal Adventure at London Zoo, these are donkeys.

A yellow warning sign, about what might happen if you stroke an animal, it might eat your arms!

It reads Danger - In the time it takes to stroke this beast, it could eat your arms at least
